But, if you prefer, we can organize a walking tour with a certified guide who will enthral you with tales of pirates, history and Cartagena culture. They will also point out the sights within the 17th century walls, offering you a glimpse into some of the churches and grand colonial houses. During your stay with us, we can organise an excursion by speedboat, that will take you to the nearby enchanted lagoon of Isla Rosario. Here you can kayak through the mysterious mangroves of Isla Rosario. As you return, in the evening, if you trail your fingers through the water, you can see the fluorescent plankton start to glow like dancing fairies on the water. A true natural wonders. It’s an unforgettable experience. Alternatively, you may choose to take a trip to the Tayrona National Park, spotting wildlife along the way.Its 12000 hectares are home to jaguars, tiger cats, ocelots, howler monkeys and anteaters. You may also spot some of the 350 species of birds that inhabit the area, including condors and eagles who fly high above the stunning terrain that ranges from cactuses to immense tropical forests.
